Franklin Street is a main street in the CBD of the centre of Adelaide, South Australia.[1][2] It is the location of Eynesbury College, the Adelaide Post Office, and the interstate bus terminals of various companies.
The street was named on 23 May 1837 in honour of John Franklin, Arctic explorer and Governor of Tasmania.[3]
As of 2011 the street is undergoing a mid-scale redevelopment, with four major buildings either currently under construction or confirmed. These are:
